Asgard Domes

Kris shifted nervously on the seat of the shuttle. The six month trip was finally over, they left the liner in orbit and were headed for Mars.
There was an aura of excitement in the shuttle, with parents walking nervously between the seats and kids cheering for clouds and rock formations on the surface. There was only a few lonely types like Kris - keeping to himself and seemingly unfazed by all the commotion. All of the passengers, crew excluded, seemed to be newcomers to the red planet. There were really only two types of people willing to go all the way out here. The ones with nothing to lose and the ones with everything to gain.
The stabilizers kicked in and a voice in the intercom requested everyone to strap on. The shuttle started to circle closer to destination and slowly, through the right window, everyone saw the Asgard Domes for the first time.
‘Landing sequence initiated.’ said the intercom.
Time to start a new life. It's what Mars is for, after all.
